What we store
When you connect your Spotify account to KiddoPlayer we store the minimum data required to play music on your Kids Player device:
- Your Spotify user id and display name.
- An OAuth access token and refresh token so playback can continue on the Kids Player without you signing in again.
- The Spotify Playlist IDs you have selected for your kid.
- A unique short link (slug) for your Kids Player URL.
What we do not store
KiddoPlayer does not download, cache, or store audio, album artwork, lyrics, or any other Spotify content. Track and playlist details (names, artists, cover art) are fetched live from the Spotify Web API when the Kids Player is opened and are never written to our database.
Disconnecting your account
You can disconnect Spotify at any time from the Parent Dashboard. Disconnecting immediately deletes your Spotify tokens, your selected playlist IDs, and your Kids Player slug from our database. No Spotify-derived data is retained after disconnect.
Third parties
KiddoPlayer uses Spotify's Web API and Web Playback SDK to play music. Your use of Spotify through KiddoPlayer is also governed by Spotify's own terms and privacy policy.
